Program Overview
Complete Path to German Medical Licensing
Germany requires doctors trained outside the EU to obtain Approbation (full license) or, in certain states, start with Berufserlaubnis (BE) (temporary license). The route involves language proficiency (typically B2 + C1 Medizin), documentation, state recognition, and exams such as FSP and Kenntnisprüfung (KP) depending on your profile/state.
🎯 Outcome
Approbation + Employment
⏱️ Typical Duration
8–18 months
📝 Exam Focus
FSP / KP based on state
Note: Requirements vary by state authority (Ärztekammer/Landesprüfungsamt). Your plan is customized accordingly.

Step 4: State Recognition & Application
We file your recognition to the selected state. Depending on equivalence outcome, you either receive Approbation eligibility or a decision requiring FSP and possibly KP.
Includes state‑wise fee payment, couriering, reference letters, and follow‑ups with the authority.
Step 5: FSP Coaching (Fachsprachprüfung)
The FSP tests medical German: anamnesis, case presentation, and documentation. Our coaching simulates exam conditions and teaches templates to reduce cognitive load.
Syllabus & Mock Plan
- Structured anamnesis and SOAP notes
- Case presentation with differential diagnosis
- Doctor‑patient role‑plays, empathy and consent
- Medical letters: Arztbrief, Entlassungsbrief
- Mock exams with feedback
Step 6: Kenntnisprüfung (If Required)
The KP is a knowledge exam matching German standards. Specialty‑agnostic but internal medicine, surgery, emergencies, pharmacology, and legal aspects dominate.
Focus Areas
- Guideline‑based diagnosis and management
- Emergency algorithms (ACLS/ATLS concepts)
- Antibiotic stewardship and German formularies
- Hygiene, documentation, and consent
Step 7: Visa & Arrival
We select the suitable category (training, work, or job‑seeker) and produce an embassy‑ready file. After arrival, we help with Anmeldung, bank, insurance, SIM, and city registrations.
Step 8: Relocation, Hospitation, and FSP/KP Dates
We coordinate Hospitation and align your exam dates with preparation sprints. You’ll receive hospital etiquette, documentation formats, and ward‑round language drills.
Step 9: Jobs & Residency Placement
Once BE/Approbation is granted, we line up interviews and contract negotiations. We assist with relocation for you (and family) and onboarding in the department.

FAQs
Is KP mandatory for everyone?
No. It depends on degree equivalence outcome in your state. Some candidates obtain Approbation via BE + FSP without KP.
Can I work while preparing?
With BE, limited supervised work is possible based on state/hospital. We plan your Hospitation and shifts accordingly.
Which state should I choose?
We compare processing times, exam availability, and degree evaluation strictness to recommend a state for you.
